COLLABORATION WITH HEMASEH MANAWI RAD
IRAN vs SERVIË vs NEDERLAND

In January of 2018 Hemaseh and Jovana worked together during a residency of 2 weeks in de Fabriek, Eindhoven NL.
Since we both grew up in the Netherlands in the early 90's but both with different cultural backgrounds, we had a lot of common ground to work with.
We started talking, recording, gathering, photographing, translating, and installing which led to our installation that was on show during the show "Floyd Firestone and the Ultrasonic Gang from the Otherside' at the end of our residency.
During the opening we wanted to show the hospitality we inherited from our cultures. Hemaseh made Tadig, a traditional Iranian Rice Dish. I served the traditional alcohol drink 'Sljivovica' which is known to be served to welcome guests among other traditions.
